How to cancel a payment
Scenario 1: My rent is paid by preauthorised payment and my du date is in 3 or more business days
- If you paid your landlord by cheque:
- Contact your property management company and ask that he stop the payment by providing the invoice number
- If the amount on the invoice is incorrect :
- Contact your property management company and ak them to change the amount on you invoice. Once you received the corrected invoice, you must accept the new agreeement and the pre-authorized payment will be scheduled with the correct amount.
- If you moved out of the appartement
- Contact the property management company and advise them of the error. If your agreement has not been deactivated, please follow the instructions “How to stop a preauthorised agreement?“.
- If you cannot cover the amount owed
- Contact the property management company and ask that the date for the debit be changed. You will be notified by email of the change. You must accept the new date in order to activate the new payment schedule.
- If you want to change the bank account before the debit
- You can change the bank information up to 3 business days before your scheduled payment. You must select the invoice and select ‘Change Payment Mode’ :

Note: You may also change the bank information on the agreement. This will change the banking information for all future invoices:
Scenario 2: My pre-authorized payment will be debited in 2 business days or less
Unfortunately it is to late to cancel the payment because the payment order has already been sent to the financial institution. You may ask you bank to stop the payment. This can incurs fees by your property management company.
Scenario 3: I pay my invoices online without a pre-authorized payment and I want to stop the payment I just made
